1. What is the overriding objective of IRUB platform? IRUB seeks to demystify academic research by changing the hitherto narrative that, it is so complex that only few scholars can timely complete their research projects/dissertations/theses. It also seeks to instill research knowledge and expertise in postgraduate candidates such that they will no longer find the necessity to outsource pertinent services

2. Who does IRUB target? IRUB targets postgraduate (PhD & Masters) candidates across all disciplines.

3. What makes IRUB unique? It facilitates customized real-time interactive research sessions between a panel of competent and experienced research consultants and postgraduate candidates drawn from both private and public universities.

4.What are customized sessions? These are research sessions curated and tailor-made to the specific needs of postgraduate candidates and which are aligned to various research topics and/or subtopics. For instance, if one is interested in understanding how to write the ‘Statement of the Problem’, he or she should simply sign in to that particular session and not any other. In each customized session, the consultants will address research issues pertinent exclusively to the title of the aforestated curated session.

6. When are the customized sessions held?

  • Monday to Friday from 9.00pm to 10.00pm
  • Saturday: 8.00am to 9.00am; 10.00am to 11.00am; 12.00pm to 1.00pm; 2.00pm to 3.00pm; 4.00pm to 5.00pm
  • Sunday: 2.00pm to 3.00pm; 4.00pm to 5.00pm

7. What are the charges per session?

  • Masters (Ksh 500 / USD 5)
  • PhD (Ksh 1000 / USD 10)

8. What are the payment methods? Payments are done through M-PESA PayBill number 4122505

9. Are regular participants entitled to any discounts or benefits?

  • Participants who sign up for at least 10 sessions in advance will be entitled to 10% discount.
  • Participants will unlock the research materials after their 20th session.

10. At what juncture am I required to pay for the sessions? A session will be required to be paid for at least 24 hours in advance.

11. As a participant, is my confidentiality guaranteed? All participants will log in to the IRUB platform anonymously. This means that the identity of a participant will not be disclosed to other participants attending the same session
